At the world’s largest technology exhibition CES 2025 Taking place in Las Vegas, USA, MSI has just officially launched a huge laptop model Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth With an appearance imbued with Norse mythology and a configuration that is currently “top of the heap” in the world of gaming laptops.
The device impresses right from the first glance with the entire exterior depicting a cool Nordic dragon, which according to MSI is vividly hand-painted and hand-carved.
In particular, MSI also engraved delicate metallic runes, meticulously cared for and with an extremely beautiful classic coating, adding a mysterious touch to its flagship gaming laptop. According to MSI, the Norse runes on the lid mean “Dragon Edition”.
Not only that, on the palm rest, MSI also equipped a 3D watermark in the shape of a Nordic dragon with runes like the treasures in the Nine Realms, making its laptop model even more unique and bold.
Along with this laptop, MSI also gives users a series of accessories with the Nordic dragon spirit, from a wireless gaming mouse also printed with a cool dragon head image to a cardboard mouse pad and keyboard. A large key chain looks like a medal with a delicately engraved divine dragon symbol.
In terms of configuration, this laptop can really “scream fire” when equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX CPU, Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU with 24GB VRAM GDDR7, up to 96GB DDR5 RAM, an NVMe M storage slot. .2 Gen5 and three additional Gen4 SSD storage slots.
MSI also introduced its completely new heatsink design, featuring a separate heat pipe for the SSD. This new addition reduces the operating temperature of PCIe Gen 5 SSDs by up to 10°C. Thanks to that, the SSD will operate more stably, maintain high speed and stable data transfer even when running heavy tasks.
To further increase hard drive speed, MSI also launched the Super RAID 5 feature, allowing the combination of PCIe Gen 5 and Gen 4 SSDs to achieve impressive read speeds of up to 18,000MB/s. Thanks to that, users can access and download data extremely quickly on complex software.
The device also has a Mini LED screen up to 18 inches in size with 4K+ resolution (3840 x 2400 pixels), 16:10 ratio with 120Hz refresh rate, six-speaker sound system (including two subwoofers), Wi-Fi. -Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Cherry swith mechanical keyboard with customizable RGB backlighting for each key, 99.9Wh battery and power supply capable of delivering up to 400 watts electricity.
The TDP level for the system is up to 270W, in which the CPU can receive up to 95W of power and the GPU is 175W to unleash full performance. Two Thunderbolt 5 ports are also present with bandwidth up to 120 Gbps, with the ability to output to two 8K displays at the same time.
Other connection ports are also very rich with 3 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet port and a full-sized SD card slot. This entire “fire-breathing” magnesium alloy machine weighs up to 3.6 kg, not including the 400W power supply and of course you will need to have muscular shoulders if you want to carry this laptop with you every day.
Similar to some other Titan 18 versions, this laptop also has an integrated RGB LED trackpad and a completely flat design with the surrounding armrest and will automatically light up when touched.
Currently, MSI has not announced the price of Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth, but it is likely that the starting price will be about 5,000 USD (about 127 million VND), on par with previous Titan 18 versions.
