Lumias is a new smart home appliance brand entering the Vietnamese market with a diverse product range from dehumidifiers, air filters, fans to kitchen appliances (induction cookers, fryers, slow juicers…) and health care (electric toothbrush, electric comb, hair dryer, thermos…).
Lumias T08 has a design quite similar to some bladeless fan models from Xiaomi and Dyson. The fan base containing the motor, two HEPA filters and the air vent above are all oval and elongated with a height of about 1.1 meters.
Lumias T08 has an oval design that is more than 1.1 meters high
The entire body is made of sturdy ABS plastic, with good finishing and elegant white color. Lumias equips the product with the ability to automatically turn off when the fan is tilted 45 degrees.
Using the Lumias T08 is as simple as regular cooling fans: via the touch buttons located above the ring or the included remote control. The device does not have Wi-Fi to control on the phone like many other Lumias products.

The control functions are also quite basic including: on/off button, increase or decrease between 12 wind levels, automatic rotation (50, 80 and 120 degrees), timer (up to 12 hours), turn on and off the night light (located below stand) and switch between 3 wind modes. All of these functions can be controlled on the crescent-shaped touch panel above the fan or the included remote control.
The fan has a night light at the bottom that can be turned on and off
In cooling functionLumias T08 has 3 wind modes: normal, natural and sleep mode. By default, the fan will run in normal wind mode, which can be increased or decreased between 12 wind levels.
Natural wind mode will simulate natural wind, regularly changing the wind speed between level 1 and level 5. In machine mode, I see that the fan sometimes blows stronger to create a breeze. Reduce the fan speed to a low level as if there is no wind.
Sleep mode will turn off all the lights on the control buttons on the touch panel to avoid emitting light that affects sleep. However, in sleep mode, users can still control the increase or decrease between 12 wind levels like normal mode.
In terms of cooling efficiency, bladeless fans create significantly weaker airflow than traditional fans. However, the advantage of bladeless fans lies in their cooling function to support air conditioning and increase air circulation in the room. Considering this aspect, I think Lumias T08 responds well. Combined with air conditioning, fans provide a gentle, stale breeze or simulate a pleasant natural breeze. When using Lumias T08 with the air conditioner, I often reduce the amount of air from the air conditioner but it is still cool enough and does not get too cold in the morning.
Noise level when turning on the fan is average (level 6)
During actual use, I often use Lumias T08 at wind levels of 4-8, rarely increasing to high wind levels of 11-12. The reason is because when turning on the fan at wind level 4-8, the fan blows out a moderate amount of wind, is comfortable and runs quite quietly with noise levels ranging from 42-47dB. When increasing the fan to a high level, the wind blows stronger but the noise level increases significantly, equivalent to the noise level of a normal fan turned on at high wind levels.
Noise level increased to 57dB, quite noisy when turning on the fan at maximum wind speed
In air filter functionLumias T08 does not filter dust with two sets of filters (including a coarse filter layer and a HEPA membrane, without an activated carbon layer) quite large in size at the bottom of the base. These two HEPA filters are HEPA H14 membranes, with a filtering efficiency of over 99.995% of fine dust particles of 0.3 microns.
The fan has 2 fairly large HEPA filters to filter dust
Lumias T08’s air filtration mechanism operates similarly to conventional air purifiers: the fan sucks air in, passes the air through the HEPA filter and then the clean air is blown out through the air vent above. ring.
With such a mechanism, Lumias T08’s two large H14 standard HEPA membranes will be effective. I tried measuring the air filtration efficiency in a closed 16 square meter room and found that the fan only took 15 minutes to reduce the dust level from harmful to health to a safe level. After 1 hour of turning on the fan, the dust concentration has decreased to a very clean level. When used in combination with turning on the air conditioner, the dust concentration in the room is always controlled at a level safe for health.
Dust concentration in the room when the fan is not turned on is in orange warning, not good for health: PM2.5 index is 48µm and PM10 is very high up to 295µm
After half an hour of turning on the fan, dust concentration decreased to a safe level with PM2.5 index to 12µm and PM10 to 42µm.
After half an hour of turning on the fan, dust concentration dropped deep within the safe threshold with PM2.5 index to 8µm and PM10 to 26µm.
After 1 hour of turning on the fan, the dust concentration decreased to a very clean level with PM2.5 index to 3 µm and PM10 to 13 µm.
Overall, Lumias T08 scores points in its beautiful design, solid finish and is a suitable choice for those who need a gentle cooling device to combine with air conditioning, helping to circulate air and have cool air. ability to filter dust in the air. However, Lumias T08 will not replace traditional fans in the cooling function because when the wind speed is turned on to the highest level, it will be noisier than traditional fans.
The product is okay Genuine sale for 3.75 million VNDequivalent to the price of a Xiaomi bladeless fan but only half the price of Dyson’s competing products.
Advantage:
+ Beautiful form, solid finish
+ Runs smoothly in cooling mode to support air conditioning
+ Effectively filters dust in the air
+ The selling price is quite reasonable
Disadvantages:
– Noisier than traditional fans if the wind speed is increased to a high level
